Edgar Allan Poe died at the age of forty on October 7, 1849 in Baltimore, Maryland.  Poe was found semi unconscious, without any clothes, laying on the street.  There are many different theories about the death of Edgar Allan Poe.  Some have related his death with tuberculosis, brain congestion, heart disease, political attack, suicide, and drugs.  The more common theory relates his death to alcohol.  A critic named Eric W.
